In 1982, Axel Leysieffer developed a new form of event catering and opened the first bistro in Westerland, Sylt. This concept allowed for continuous expansion with more outlets. The award of the “Hamburger Prize” in 1989 and the award “Living city” by the city of Dusseldorf in 1995 underline the development of the company.

In 1993, the fourth generation came on board with Jan Leysieffer. In 1998, the online shop was opened and successfully reworked in 2009.
